Anna Lee Alford Newby, President

Anna Lee Alford Newby, originally from Hoover, Alabama, graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a BSBA in International Business (Economics & French), and in 2011 with an MS in Finance. At Auburn, she was involved in many extracurriculars, from Greek life and the Student Government Association to Student Recruiters and Camp War Eagle. She grew up attending Auburn football games and loves Auburn more than almost anything! In 2011, she moved to Austin, Texas to attend The University of Texas School of Law and graduated with her JD in 2014.

After 9 years in private practice at boutique and national law firms, Anna Lee launched her own law firm, ALA Law, PLLC, where she represents commercial landlords and tenants in office, retail and industrial leasing transactions. She lives in Old East Dallas with her husband, Jason, and her two Cockapoos, Jackson (like Bo) and Roger Furderer.

Anna Lee joined the Auburn University Dallas/Fort Worth Alumni Club in 2016 and has served in various leadership roles over the years. She has been the Club President since 2018 and has held the club together through many ups and downs (mostly on the football field!). Her favorite Auburn tradition is the eagle flight before games at Jordan-Hare, and while it’s hard to choose a favorite line of the Creed, she would have to say “I believe in my country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God.”

Morgan Sanders, VP of Operations

Originally from Prattville, Alabama, Morgan graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. After graduating, Morgan began her career at the Westervelt Company in Tuscaloosa, a private land stewardship company with close ties to the Plains.

Seeking new opportunities, Morgan relocated to Dallas, Texas in 2016, where she joined Mutual Capital Alliance, a financial holding company. She played a pivotal role in the launch of multiple brands, significantly contributing to the company's expansion and earning the title of Chief Marketing Officer.

In recent years, Morgan has shifted her focus towards the financial sector, specifically through Mutual Capital Alliance's subsidiary, USA Mutuals Advisors. Here, she aims to blend her extensive marketing expertise with financial acumen. Currently holding a Series 6 license, Morgan oversees all marketing operations for the firm, directing strategic initiatives that enhance the visibility and profitability of the company's funds.

She joined the Auburn University Dallas/Fort Worth Alumni Club in 2023 and serves as VP of Operations. Morgan is enthusiastic about leveraging her background and network to consistently and creatively expand the group of The Auburn Family in the DFW Metroplex.
